Washington Post Review 09-09-2009
Their fried food is tasty and cooked just right. I’m not usually a fried food person, but the Captain’s Platter that I got at the Fish Market had a great selection of fried seafood that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I plan on returning. Two-hundred years of history reside under this roof, including a past as a field hospital during the war, a soft drink factory, and since 1976 it’s become the go-to seafood restaurant for tourists and locals alike. You can get your fill of greasy fish sandwiches, pastas plates and for “land lubbers” there is a selection of steak and chicken options. If your lucky, and weather permitting, request a booth outside on their narrow balcony…it’ll be worth the wait. .
