Instead of a wait list, you just wait in line. The focus of this establishment is on the experience, they serve up some extremely fresh and delicious oysters (you even get to watch the guy shuck them as you wait in line). Their fried food is tasty and cooked just right. I’m not usually a fried food person, but the Captain’s Platter that I got at the Fish Market had a great selection of fried seafood that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I plan on returning. Two-hundred years of history reside under this roof, including a past as a field hospital during the war, a soft drink factory, and since 1976 it’s become the go-to seafood restaurant for tourists and locals alike. You can get your fill of greasy fish sandwiches, pastas plates and for “land lubbers” there is a selection of steak and chicken options.
